Terry Fator is one of the best ventriloquists in the world who won the AGT Season 2. He decided to compete once again in America’s Got Talent: All-Stars. The talented artist is known to have received a big deal worth millions of dollars with “The Mirage” in Las Vegas.
Simon Cowell seems fond of Terry and instantly starts to talk to the ventriloquist and greets him. He then tells Terry that when it comes to variety, he has inspired more contestants than anyone on any show worldwide. Terry Crews, the host, even states, “This man is a Legend.”
Cowell asks Terry why he returned to AGT to compete. Terry explains, “Fifteen years ago, I started to inspire people. Now I’ve got a whole new audience and fans to inspire.” He continued, “We got to keep inspiring people; that’s why I’m here.”
In a short interview before his performance, Terry talks about the struggles he faced during the early days of his ventriloquism performance. He says, “I started doing ventriloquism when I was 10. When every other kid was playing Athletics and doing all the things the girls liked, I was doing anything I could to get in front of the people with my puppet.”
Terry states that people only took him seriously once he performed on AGT. After that, he got work at county fairs and elementary schools and thought to himself if he should quit. But then he decides to audition for AGT at 42.
In one of the video clips included in the AGT All Stars segment, Terry is seen talking to Oprah Winfrey. She asks him, “Were you as shocked as you appeared to be when you won AGT?” Terry responds, “I was completely stunned.” The ventriloquist believes his story is the perfect example of rags to riches.
During his AGT: All-Stars performance, Terry brings his puppet Winston to sing “The Prayer” in Italian. The next performance is Elton John’s classic, “Rocket Man,” with a look-alike puppet of Elton, making it an unforgettable performance. Everyone present at the auditorium enjoys the song. Howie Mandel tells Terry, “The fact that you decided to come here and recompete on AGT: All Stars is a dream come true for me and everybody watching you at home & this room. You are a gem.”
