Gorilla Mom Bonds With Mother And Newborn Baby At Boston Zoo In Sweet Video

All mothers have maternal reactions or “instincts”, and this is no exception in the animal world. Like humans, animals also have an innate maternal instinct in which they protect and care for their generation, even for other species. This became apparent during a woman’s visit to the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, where she and her newborn baby connected with a mother gorilla.

Emmeline Austin and her husband were visiting the zoo with their 5-month-old son Canyon when they noticed one of the gorillas looking at their sleeping newborn son. She looked carefully and put her hand on the glass, at one point he even tried to stroke Kanye’s face from the glass on her side.

“She kept looking around the corner of the cave, and I was like, ‘She’s looking at Canyon,’” Emmelina said. For well over five minutes, she just sat there watching , just staring at him so lovingly,” Emmelina said.

The video was filmed and uploaded on YouTube by Emmelina’s husband, Michael Austin.
